Overview:

A unique surface-dwelling fish with a hatchet-shaped body and shiny silver coloration. Known for staying at the top of the tank and occasional gliding jumps.

• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Tight lid required (excellent jumpers)

Diet:

Omnivore—flakes, small pellets, and frozen/live foods like brine shrimp and insects.

Behavior:

Peaceful schooling fish—keep in groups of 6+. Best with other calm community fish.

• Keep floating plants for comfort
• Feed at the surface
