Appearance:

Red Tiger Shrimp feature a semi-transparent body with striking red striping across the shell. Some higher-grade varieties show deeper red coloration and more defined tiger banding, making them stand out in planted tanks.

Tank Requirements:

• Tank Size: 10+ gallons
• Temperature: 68–75°F
• pH: 6.0–7.0
• GH: 4–6, KH: 0–2
• Water: Soft, slightly acidic, and stable (RO/DI recommended for best results)

Diet:

• Biofilm, algae, and microorganisms
• Supplement with shrimp pellets, mineral foods, and blanched vegetables

Behavior & Compatibility:

• Very peaceful
• Best kept in groups (6+)
• Can be kept with other Caridina shrimp with similar parameters
• Avoid aggressive fish or large tankmates

Breeding:

• Breeds in freshwater
• Easier than most Pinto or Galaxy Caridina
• Offspring resemble parents with stable striping patterns
