The Red Swordtail is a hardy and colorful freshwater livebearer known for its bright red body and the long “sword” extension on the male’s tail. It is an active, peaceful fish that does well in community aquariums.

Swordtails are easy to care for and adapt well to most water conditions. They accept a wide variety of foods including flakes, pellets, and frozen foods. Because they are livebearers, they reproduce easily in aquariums.
