Appearance:

Pinto Tiger Red Shrimp are prized for their striking red and white patterns, often featuring bold patches, stripes, or galaxy-style markings. Each shrimp has a unique pattern, making them highly desirable in the hobby.

Tank Requirements:

• Tank Size: 10+ gallons
• Temperature: 68–74°F
• pH: 5.5–6.8
• GH: 4–6, KH: 0–1
• Water: Soft, acidic, and very stable (RO/DI recommended)

Diet:

• Biofilm, algae, and microorganisms
• Supplement with high-quality shrimp food, mineral foods, and blanched vegetables

Behavior & Compatibility:

• Peaceful but best kept in species-only tanks
• Keep in groups (6+) for comfort
• Avoid mixing with Neocaridina (different parameters)

Breeding:

• Can breed in freshwater under proper conditions
• Offspring may vary in pattern and quality
• Selective breeding needed to maintain high-grade lines

• Use active substrate to maintain low pH
