Appearance:

A high-grade designer shrimp featuring a deep black base with bold white “fishbone” striping running along the body, combined with galaxy-style spotting (fine white speckles). The fishbone pattern resembles a spine with branching ribs, making it one of the most sought-after patterns in Caridina shrimp.

• Tank Size: 10+ gallons
• Temperature: 68–74°F
• pH: 5.5–6.5
• GH: 4–6, KH: 0–1
• Water: Soft, acidic, and extremely stable (RO/DI strongly recommended)

Diet:

• Biofilm and microorganisms (primary diet)
• Supplement with premium shrimp foods, mineral supplements, and blanched vegetables

Behavior & Compatibility:

• Very peaceful
• Best kept in species-only setups
• Keep in groups (6+)
• Avoid mixing with Neocaridina or other Caridina lines to maintain genetics

Breeding:

• Breeds in freshwater under ideal conditions
• Offspring vary in pattern—selective culling needed for high-quality fishbone lines
• Slower reproduction compared to Neocaridina
