Overview:

A colorful Geosesarma species often called “Mandarin Crab,” featuring bright orange, red, or purple tones. Like other vampire-type crabs, it’s semi-terrestrial and thrives in humid paludariums.

Temperament: Semi-aggressive (territorial)

Size: 2–2.5 inches

Lifespan: 2–3 years

Tank Requirements:

Minimum 10 gallons for a small group

Paludarium setup (70–80% land, 20–30% shallow water)

High humidity (70–90%)

Plenty of hiding spots (moss, leaf litter, caves, driftwood)

Secure lid—they climb very well

Water Parameters:

Temperature: 72–82°F

pH: 6.5–7.5

Shallow, clean freshwater only

Diet:

Omnivore—pellets, algae wafers, fruits, vegetables, insects, frozen foods

Needs calcium for healthy molts

Tank Mates:

Best kept species-only

May attack or eat tank mates

Notes:

Mostly land-dwelling—deep water can be dangerous

Nocturnal and shy

Will hide during molting—provide safe cover

Guaranteed to arrive alive you have one hour of delivery to report any death. You must take a picture while the fish is dead in the bag before it’s opened.
