Overview:

A tiny surface-dwelling killifish with bold black/yellow bands and colorful tails. Often called the “Rocket Killifish” due to its shape and top-level swimming.

Size: ~1–1.5 inches

Lifespan: 2–3 years

Tank Requirements:

Minimum 5–10 gallons

Best kept in groups (6+)

Floating plants are highly recommended

Very gentle flow

Temperature: 72–78°F

pH: 6.0–7.0

Soft water preferred

Diet:

Carnivore—micro foods (baby brine shrimp, microworms, crushed flakes)

Prefers live/frozen foods

Tank Mates:

Best with tiny, peaceful fish (chili rasboras, small tetras, shrimp)

Avoid larger or fast fish

Notes:

Surface dweller—feeds at the top

Can jump—tight lid required

Males are more colorful with brighter tail patterns

For the safety of the animals, we do not ship aquatic life on Thursday and Friday. We do not want live aquatic animals sitting in USPS warehouse over the weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

Any orders placed before 12:00 PM on Tuesday will be shipped out that same week. orders placed after 12:00 PM on Tuesday will now be processed the following week

Guaranteed to arrive alive you have one hour of delivery to report any death. You must take a picture while the fish is dead in the bag before it’s opened.
