A rare, dark-colored variety of Corydoras known for its deep black/charcoal body with a subtle velvety sheen. Peaceful, active, and great for community aquariums.

Peaceful

Best kept in groups of 5–6+ (they thrive in schools)

Tank Size:

20+ gallons (larger for groups)

• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Soft to moderately hard water

Diet:

Omnivore

• Sinking wafers/pellets
• Frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp)
• Occasional veggie matter

Behavior:

• Bottom dweller
• Very social and active
• Constantly scavenging substrate
• Non-aggressive

Tank Setup:

• Soft sand substrate (protects barbels)
• Plants and hiding spots
• Clean, well-oxygenated water

Compatibility:

• Excellent with community fish (tetras, guppies, rasboras, etc.)
• Avoid large or aggressive fish

Breeding:

• Possible in home aquariums
• Egg scatterer
• Triggered by cooler water changes

Guaranteed to arrive alive you have one hour of delivery to report any death. You must take a picture while the fish is dead in the bag before it’s opened.
