The Amano Shrimp is one of the most effective freshwater algae eaters used in planted aquariums. Known for their constant grazing, these shrimp help control algae, leftover food, and organic debris while being peaceful and safe with most community fish.

Behavior

Amano shrimp are active scavengers that spend most of their time grazing on algae from plants,

glass, and decorations. They do best when kept in small groups and are especially popular in planted aquariums for natural algae control.

We ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday via USPS Priority Mail. Once we get your order, we will ship it within 1 to 5 business days. For the safety of the animals, we do not ship aquatic life on Thursday and Friday. We do not want live aquatic animals sitting in USPS warehouse over the weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

Any orders placed before 12:00 PM on Tuesday will be shipped out that same week. orders placed after 12:00 PM on Tuesday will now be processed the following week
