Betta Fish (Betta splendens)

Betta Fish, also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, are colorful and popular freshwater aquarium fish. They are known for their flowing fins and vibrant colors, making them a striking centerpiece in tanks.

Care Requirements:

  • Tank size: Minimum 5 gallons per fish; males should be kept alone to prevent fighting.
  • Temperature: 76–82°F (24–28°C)
  • pH: 6.5–7.5
  • Diet: Carnivorous; feeds on high-quality betta pellets, flakes, and occasional live/frozen foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp.
  • Behavior: Males are territorial; females can be kept in sororities of 3–5 in a properly sized tank. Peaceful with compatible species that won’t nip fins.
