Black Kuhli Loach (also called Java Loach or Chocolate Kuhli Loach)

Quick definition:
• Scientific name: Pangio oblonga
• Slender, eel-like loach with a solid dark brown to black body
• Adult size: 3–4 inches

Key traits:
• Peaceful, shy, and mostly nocturnal
• Bottom-dweller that loves to burrow and hide
• Best kept in groups of 5–6 or more
• Very community-safe

Aquarium notes:
• Soft sand substrate is a must (sharp gravel can injure them)
• Plenty of hiding places (driftwood, caves, leaf litter)
• Low to moderate flow
• Tank size: 20+ gallons

Diet:
• Sinking pellets and wafers
• Frozen/live foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp)
• Excellent scavenger but still needs targeted feeding

Guaranteed to arrive alive you have one hour of delivery to report any death. You must take a picture while the fish is dead in the bag before it’s opened.
