Zebra Danios are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 or more. They prefer aquariums with plenty of open swimming space and moderate water movement. Their constant activity adds energy and movement to community aquariums.

They accept a wide variety of foods including flakes, micro pellets, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Providing a varied diet helps keep them healthy and vibrant.
