Overview:

A unique semi-terrestrial crab known for the male’s oversized claw used for display and communication. Active, entertaining, and always moving.

Tank Requirements:

• 10+ gallons (paludarium setup)
• Temp: 72–80°F
• pH: 7.5–8.5
• Brackish water required + dry land area

Diet:

Omnivore—algae, detritus, sinking pellets, and occasional protein foods.

Behavior:

Semi-aggressive and territorial. Best kept in groups with more females than males. Will climb and escape if not covered.

Pro Tips:

• Must have land access—they will drown if fully aquatic
• Use sand for burrowing
• Tight lid required (escape artists)
