The Apistogramma nijsseni, commonly called the Panda Apistogramma, is a beautiful dwarf cichlid known for its bright yellow body and bold black markings resembling a panda pattern. Native to slow-moving waters in Peru, this species is popular among aquarists for its striking appearance and fascinating breeding behavior.

Behavior: Panda Apistogrammas prefer aquariums with plants, driftwood, leaf litter, and caves. They are territorial, especially when breeding, and females become very protective of eggs and fry while males patrol the territory.
